Intents Festival is one of the biggest harder-styles events in the Netherlands, built around hardstyle, raw hardstyle, hardcore, uptempo, and freestyle. It began in 2004 as a project of the Oisterwijk carnival association De Kloontjes, a few twenty-year-olds and a crew of regional volunteers, and grew over two decades into a three-day festival running roughly 10 stages on the grounds of De Roosterbergen in Oisterwijk, North Brabant. Today around a thousand volunteers from the Oisterwijk and Tilburg area still help put it on. Each edition is wrapped in a single mythological or fantasy theme that runs through the stage builds, the official anthem, and a storyline across the weekend; the 2026 edition, June 5 to 7, was themed Rise of Titans, with an anthem by Vertile & The Saints called Awake Me. The festival is known for closing its nights with a large outdoor Endshow that pairs fire, lasers, and pyrotechnics with a custom soundtrack. When the pandemic cancelled the physical event, Intents ran online editions in 2020 and 2021, including a free 2020 YouTube stream that reached about 250,000 viewers. Headliners across recent years have included D-Block & S-te-Fan, Headhunterz, Da Tweekaz, Rebelion, Sub Zero Project, and Paul Elstak.

Livestream history

Intents has a real livestream track record, though most of it dates to the pandemic years. In 2020 the organizers replaced the cancelled physical festival with a free online edition on YouTube, Experience the Feeling of Intents - The Online Festival, which reached roughly 250,000 viewers. In 2021 they ran a second online-only edition on June 5 as a paid YouTube broadcast, priced from 8 euros for a single viewer up to 24 euros for larger groups and free for 2022 ticketholders, with more than 30 artists across an indoor and an outdoor mainstage. Since the return to a physical festival in 2022, Intents has leaned on its YouTube channel for full live sets, Endshow recordings, and aftermovies rather than a confirmed free all-day stream of every stage. The festival's own platform and YouTube remain the home for that official video output.
